Leap Year

Today is February 29th - leap year

There are lot of math and astronomy that can be taught to students today

(Astronomy is science, right? May be a specialization of Physics)

Examples:

1) When you have a large group of people, there will be one birthday person for every 365 people. While only 1 in 1461 birthday person today

2) Younger kids we can discuss, earth going around the sun in 365 days. Older kids, we can tell the same info in seconds and discuss the number not dividing in whole number for 24 hours. You can also discuss the correction every 100 years and the other correction that happens every 400 years

3) You can introduce types of calendars used in society - solar & lunar. Discuss what every calendar/months you follow traditionally
